We don’t have the power on our own to save these venues. On top of that, 20% of profits will still be donated to the trust and help protect these vital places for live music – that’s 50%! And despite 89% of grassroots music venues who applied for a grant by the Arts Council England – where £41million was distributed – there are now 30 venues which received no help in dire need of saving.

On Facebook the Music Venue Trust said today: “We’ve checked all the available funding, financial support, furlough schemes, business support for these venues, and what is on offer is not enough to prevent them being lost. The list of venues that need your help
